Emily is a Clinical Social Worker (MSW) who works with adults, teens, and families. She has a special interest in relationships, anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment, grief, sexuality, neurodivergence, and life transitions.
Emily’s work centers on helping individuals reconnect with their Core Self—the part of us that is inherently whole, connected, creative, and balanced. Over time, experiences such as trauma, attachment wounds, childhood development, or societal pressures can disrupt this inner knowing. In response, we adapt and develop patterns that may distance us from our authentic selves, often leading to further struggle. Despite our best efforts, we can feel disconnected, moving through life at a pace that makes it difficult to access and embody our own wisdom.
As a skilled somatic therapist, Emily is extensively trained in Hakomi Mindfulness-Centered Somatic Psychotherapy. She uses a mindfulness and body-based approach to help clients deepen self-awareness, release self-limiting patterns, and build lasting emotional resilience. She believes that, when given space, the path to healing naturally unfolds with intelligence and creativity.
Emily also incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) when beneficial and approaches therapy from a holistic perspective. With advanced training in Systemic Family Therapy, she collaborates with families to uncover unhelpful dynamics and explore healthier, more fulfilling ways of living together.
